Monmouth, ILL. -- The Principia College Women's Soccer team traveled to Monmouth, Illinois to take on Monmouth College. This was a tough non-conference games for the Panthers, and the Monmouth Fighting Scots showed their strength, taking down the Panthers 6-0.
The Panthers had a new lineup today to adjust to different challenges they are having. In comparison, the Scots had a small army of 30+ players that were able to play.
Monmouth found the back of the net in the first 5 minutes and did not look back. At halftime the score was 2-0 in favor of the Scots.
While the Panthers battled the whole game, with again quality defense by
Tara Adhikari and
Kiona Sperr, Principia simply could not find the back of the net. With a pk and a couple of really quality shots, the Scots finished the game up 6-0 over the Panthers.
