St. Louis – The Panthers team traveled to St. Louis to play the 13-6 (11-1 in Conference) Gorloks. This was a tough game for our team. The Gorloks pressed most of the first half and were relentless in their man defense, despite the Panthers playing with 6 players and Webster having 14 players who played and scored for them. Due to the pressure, Principia did not shoot well from the field and from the free throw line. Turnovers gave Webster more scoring opportunities.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway began the game with 969 points in her three years of varsity basketball and scored 29, so she will surely score her 1000
th point in the upcoming game on Tuesday. Sophia also pulled down 9 rebounds.
Madi Leslie and
Beka Petersen each had 6 rebounds.
They said it:
"You have to credit Webster for their good play and tenacious defense, but we know we could have played a better game. We look forward to getting back on the court on Tuesday against Spalding."

Dory Smith.
