St. Louis, MO. - The Principia College Volleyball Team traveled to Fontbonne University this morning to play a tri-match with Fontbonne and Westminster.
Principia continued to make slow but steady progress, but we're still not able to break into the win column losing in 3 sets to both teams. Team leaders against Fontbonne were
Paige Fowler with four kills,
Neha Bandrapalli with six assists, and
Angie Whitmore with three service aces.
Madi Leslie and
Alana Hinson had four kills each for the Westminster match, Bandrapalli had seven assists, and Fowler and
Lindsey Huffman led the team in digs.
Head Coach Rich Esineaur commented, "Fontbonne and Westminster are both strong teams and show us where we need to get to if we want to be competitive in our conference. Webster will be another tough test for us next week. Fall Break will give the team a little space before we go into our final two weeks of the season. I'm excited to see how much more we can accomplish."
Up Next: The Panthers will be traveling to Webster University to play the Gorloks on Thursday, October 7th at 7 PM.
