Jacksonville, IL – The Principia College men's swim team wrapped up their dual meet season with a loss to Illinois College – 49 – 82.
A Look at the Match- The men competed well earning 6 "best" swims and a couple of close losses. While not their best showing in terms of "bests", the men competed well and will now look ahead to the final meet of the season.
Highlights/Personal Bests-

Emmett Wainwright, fellow juniors
Tyler Williams and Thomas Rauschenbeger were joined by sophomore lady Heather Savoye to compete in the event 400 Medley relay with a time of 4:36.67
-Wainwright won the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.05
-Williams won both the 100 and 200 Breast with a time of 1:25.20 and 3:09.40 respectively
-Rauschenberger swim to three close second place finishes, earning 2 "best" swims along the way. His 24.35 in the 50 Free was an in-season lifetime best time and his 54.42 100 Free was a season best time.
-The men wrapped up the meet in the 200 Free relay where they were joined by sophomore lady Camilee Abadie to swim a 1:44.38.
Up Next- The men will now turn their attention to the final meet of the season – the Liberal Arts Championships. Due to COVID, the team will swim their portion of the Championships on Friday and Saturday, March 5 & 6 at their home pool. The morning prelims sessions will start at 10am and the evening finals will start at 5pm.
