Jacksonville, IL- Unable to reverse the scoreboard, the Panthers ended the game with a 3-0 loss.
Â
It was a slow start; in the first four minutes of the match, Illinois College scored from a corner. The Panthers struggled to build an attack and Illinois would score 2 more goals by halftime. We hope you stuck around for the second half because the Panthers rallied, dominating the play and forcing the Illinois keeper to make 6 saves on the attempts on goal. Despite our chances on goal, the Panthers were unable to find the back of the net. It was a collective effort in the second half and many played hard the entire game. However, the player of the match goes to
Allie Bane. It was her first collegiate game and she stepped up when it was needed. Playing in a new position, her composure on the ball helped the Panthers build an attack and create scoring opportunities.

Up Next: The Panthers play again Tuesday, September 14, against Fontbonne University at home at 8:20pm. It will be their first conference game.
