ST. LOUIS, MO - The Principia Men's Tennis team concluded the regular season against Webster University on Tuesday evening at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.
The Panthers final conference and regular season match went as expected against Webster, although rain ended the match early with Principia up 6-0. The team got routine wins from #1 and #2 doubles, while Elliott Matthiesen and Everett Poznick battled it out at #3. Leading 6-5 on serve, they got a break and held serve at 7-5 to give the team a doubles sweep.
The top three of Daniel Gomez, Juan Segovia, and Rafter Sprague made quick work of their singles matches. William Johnson and Poznick each won first sets at #4 and #6 singles before the rain arrived, while Matthiesen was leading 5-4 at #5.
