FULTON, MO – The Principia Volleyball team had its first conference official SLIAC conference match since 2019 on Tuesday at Westminster College. The team has been in flux this season as some players have joined after the season started as others have departed. The Panthers came into the night having lost both of their non-conference matches to start the season.
The Panthers were facing a talented Westminster squad with an impressive outside attack and great passing. Despite falling in straight sets, Principia held up well on receiving serves and showed tenacity of a team far beyond their experience level.
"We see vast amounts of improvement in our approach to in game situations we find ourselves in," said Coach Davis. "Our level of comfort on the court will keep rising as we continue learning and implementing our systems. I'm extremely happy to be a part of this process at its inception, and I look forward to continued improvement."
Up Next: The Panthers will have their first conference home match on Friday, September 23rd at 6:00 pm against Spalding.
