A Look Back: Principians on the SLIAC Men's Soccer All-Decade Teams

ELSAH, IL – This summer, we are recapping the Principia College athletes and coaches who were recently selected for the three SLIAC All-Decade teams. Next up is Men's Soccer!

The Principia Men's Soccer program has won a total of 6 conference championships: 1990, 1995, 1996, 2001, 2007, and 2019.

The 10 Principians on the SLIAC Men's Soccer All-Decade teams are...

1990-1999:
Joe Bradley
Bradley picked up two First Team All-Conference selections during his career and three All-Conference nods overall.

Corey Clayton
Clayton earned All-Conference honors all four years with the Panthers and was named to the First Team twice.

Travis Nicholson
Nicholson played three years with the Panthers, earning All-Conference honors all three years including First Team honors in 1994 and 1995.

2000-2009:
Dana Byquist
The 2007 Co-Player of the Year, Byquist was a two-time All-Conference pick including one First Team nod from his defender position.

Yaw Danso
Danso led the Panthers from 2006-09 earning All-Conference honors each year. He was a First Team selection in 2007 and 2009 and was the 2009 Player of the Year. Danso was named All-American in 2009, the last SLIAC player to receive that recognition. He was elected to the SLIAC Hall of Fame in 2015.

Wes Fleming
Fleming was chosen All-Conference three times, making First Team twice as a defender during the decade.

Brandon Frank
Frank picked up three First Team All-Conference selections during the decade. He totaled 24 goals and 79 points from 1999-2002 and his 31 career assists still rank tops in Principia program history.

Ricky Seaman
Seaman was named All-Conference all four years including First Team honors in 2008 and 2009. He finished with 46 career goals, ranking him 10th in SLIAC history. Seaman has the most game-winning goals (16) in program history and ranks 2nd in goals and points. He was chosen for the SLIAC Hall of Fame in 2017.

2010-2019:
Kaleb Keller
Keller is the only player from the decade to win multiple SLIAC Player of the Year awards (2017 and 2018). He was the NCAA Division III leader in goals and points per game in 2018. Playing for three seasons with the Panthers, Keller is the program's career leader in goals (50) and points (112), which ranks him 8th for goals and 9th for points in conference history.

Samuel Thomas
Thomas, Principia's current Women's Soccer coach, shared the 2010 SLIAC Player of the Year award and was a two-time First Team All-Conference choice. The goalkeeper ranks 3rd in career wins (34), 7th in career shutouts (19), and 9th in career saves (337) in SLIAC history.
