TOPEKA, KS – The Principia track & field team opened their 2025 indoor season on Friday at DII Washburn University in Kansas. Washburn has a beautiful facility with a banked track that provided a great venue to get the season started strong.
Freshman
Sana Udoekong was the Panthers star of the meet as she had historic collegiate debut. She began the day in the 60 meter dash by running the second-fastest time in school history (7.85) just behind former outdoor national champion, Ngozi Mwanamwambwa Asinga. Then in the 200 meter dash, Udoekong broke Asinga's indoor school and conference record from 1992 by a full second (25.55), finishing 7th out of 47 competitors in the event. She sits atop this season's conference rankings in both events, and she is at #27 in all of Division III in the 200m. On Monday, the conference named Udoekong last week's SLIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
