Principia beat MacMurray 25-8, 25-10, 25-9 , moving to 8-6 for the season. Principia was determined to have fun playing together after a couple of down-to-the-wire losses last week. The team showed solid ball control in the back court, a well rounded offensive attack, and very skillful serving tonight. The team served 95% including 17 aces, with 6 of them from
Anne Goodrich-Stuart , 4 from #Teddye Shaffer, and 3 from
Isabelle Tetu.
After a week off for middle blocker Katie Duntley, she was strong and effective with 7 kills, and 0 errors hitting .636. Freshman Kiersten Andersen put down 5 kills and only committed 1 error hitting .571. Goodrich-Stuart added a team high 7 digs to her perfect 25/25 serving .
Hannah Richards led the team with 8 kills and she and Shaffer each picked up 6 digs.
The team will use this as a springboard into a tough matchup in St. Louis this Friday at 7:00pm against St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
