Box Score Carlinville, ILL. -- Principia beat Blackburn 25-27, 25-10, 25-20, 25-18 at the Beaver Dome tonight. The Beavers were passing and hitting well to start the match, and Prin found themselves at an 8-13 deficit. The Panthers fought back and kept the game alive only to be edged out of game one 25-27. The Beavers struggled with ball control in game two, and behind seven serves in a row from
Emma Herman the Panthers took the drivers' seat, never to relinquish it. Games three and four were good for the Panthers offensively, and that made the difference to pull ahead and control the match for the win.
Senior
Molly Moser was 100% from the service line with four aces. Molly added 15 digs and seven kills, hitting .261. Senior
Sierra Sprague put down 12 kills, hitting a team high .294, and led the passing at 2.7(3.0), as well as posting a team high 18 digs. The offense was deep with
Sophia Hathaway killing 16,
Emily Tippetts and
Noelle Shoemake each chipping in five, and
Emma Herman with four. The Panther ball control was pretty tight with Emma,

Mia Gill,
Deanna Scheck and Sierra combining for a team 2.6 passing.
The Panthers compete in the Illinois College tournament this Friday and play at home Saturday at 1:00pm.
