Princpia women's tennis team tumble at Cal Tech falling 8-1

Pasadena, CA--

Principia women's #1 tennis duo, Hanne Andersen and Kelly Adams, capably defeated their opponents 8-4. First doubles was the only match that the Panthers won on the second day of matches in sunny California.  Cal Tech, ranked  #12 in the NCAA Western Region, adroitly defeated all of our singles players.  The scores are not indicative of the strong effort the Panther women put into their matches.  In the doubles matches and the singles matches most of the games were not easily won by Cal Tech and required several duece and add repetitions.  The principia women showed improvement in their play and will continue their progress in a match against Hardin Simmons on Sunday in Claremont.
