Elsah, Il--In the final match of the 2015 women's tennis season Principia falls to Webster 5-4. It was an even match at 4-4 as the #5 singles players entered the third set tiebreaker. The match would be decided by the first to 7 points, provided one was ahead by two.  At 7-7 the match was still tied, and Principian,
Lena Carlson had held off one match point. Webster was able to take the last two points and win this tie-breaker 9-7, thus securing the match for Webster.Â
After the doubles Princpia led the match score by 2-1, winning #1 and #3 doubles.Â
Lily Richards and
Lena Carlson, #3 doubles for Principia, played forcing tennis and were able close out points with strong net play. At #1 doubles,
Kelly Adams and
Hanne Andersen, lost serve to fall behind 2-1 but were able to take control of the match with  aggressive returns and poaching.
 At #1 singles,
Hanne Andersen played consistent beating her rival in straight sets.Â
Claire Horton, playing #4 singles, was the other match Principia won.
Kelly Adams at #2 singles fell behind 5-2 in the second set after losing the first but found her game and brought the score back to five all before her opponent hit some clean forehand winners to take the match.
Next, the women's tennis team prepares for the Conference Championship tournament that takes place this Friday and Saturday in Saint Louis. We will play Greenville at 2 PM on Friday and expect to play in the championship match against Webster on Saturday at 11 AM.Â
