Elsah, Il--Principia wins their third conference match sweeping the three doubles and taking all six singles matches.Â
Caitlin Carney returned to the line-up after completing her participation in the Dance Production. She played #2 doubles with
Nathalie DeLoach and moved into the #3 position in the singles line-up. The Principia team is undefeated in conference play.Â
A highlight of tonight's match was #6 singles, where
Nathalie DeLoach played individual points that each lasted over three minutes. Many of the rallies in this match went into the 60's, while most of the rallies continued for at least 20 hits. Nathalie won the first set but got behind in the second set and was not able to win it. She composed herself for the ten point third set tie-breaker, but she was down 7-4 before she won the next six points to win the match. Complete match scores are listed below.
The women have two more conference matches this week, both are at home. Thursday they play Blackburn and on Saturday they play rival Webster. Come out and cheer for the women's tennis team! Yay, Women's Tennis!Â
