Box Score ELSAH, Ill. -- The Principia volleyball team beat SLIAC #3 Westminster College in a five game battle that lasted over two hours! The Bluejays were a hard hitting, tough serving team, and the Panthers just dug their heels in and competed from beginning to end. The team's theme this year is Dauntless, and that's just how they played this match. The Bluejays were impressive in many ways, and the Prin women had to know their gameplan and courageously execute it – no matter what Westminster was doing!
Hay Fieldhouse was hopping tonight, with a great home crowd that lit the gym up with a positive energy and support. Thank you to all who came out tonight, and especially to those who stayed until

This victory belongs to everyone for sure – the great fans, the focused bench and substitutes, and those players who never left the court!
20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, and 17-15 – what a battle! The Panthers worked so hard defensively for this victory, and really made Westminster earn their points.
Lily Richards and
Noelle Shoemake put up five block assists each, and Noelle added two solo blocks as well.
Emily Tippetts and
Sophia Hathaway had four and three block assists respectively.
Sierra Sprague picked up a season high 26 digs in the backcourt, and Libero
Emma Herman tallied 19, with
Molly Moser (17),
Mia Gill (17), and Sophia (15) close behind. The team held their serving steadier as the night went on and ended up at 94% for the night! Sierra and Sophia led the offense with 13 kills a piece, and the offensive depth was great with Lily, Molly, and Noelle each posting seven kills.
Principia travels to Louisville, KY Friday for a rematch against Spalding on Friday night, and two more SLIAC matches against SLIAC #1 Greenville and Iowa Wesleyan.
