Elsah, ILL. -- In tonight's match-up the Principia Panthers played the Blackburn College Beavers. In the start of the first half, the Panthers played astounding offense- maintaining possession of the ball and making fluid passes and connecting with one another. As a result,
Brittany Ouellette scored a one touch shot from outside the 18 yard box to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game.
The first goal rallied the Panthers together and they kept firing away at the Beavers, which lead to two more goals from senior,
Emma Dixon, and sophomore,
Chrissy Fredrikson. Entering the second half, Principia was up 3-0 with an astonishing 25 shots under their belts already.
In the second half, the Panthers yet again started out strong and within the 50th minute,
Sarai Marcano found the back of the net with a beautiful assist by
Clarice Bruch. The Panthers did not stop there, though, as they answered with another goal making the final score Principia 5, Blackburn 0.
