Elsah, Il—In their first conference match of the 2017 season the women's tennis team secure a victory over the Blackburn team sweeping all the matches. The panthers were stingy and only gave up a couple of games in nine matches. The team followed their game plan staying focused on placement of their serves and returns. They also committed to running for every ball.
Freshman,
Dani Lomascolo, played in her first college match at the #7 singles position. She hit strong serves and accurate backhands. She also came to the net and closed out many points with a decisive volley.
Seniors,
Anh Vu,
Nathalie DeLoach, and
Caitlin Carney played steady tennis closing out their opponents with forceful groundstokes. They only lost one game between them.
