Principia hosted the Rose Hulman Engineers tonight in a night game in Elsah.
Â
Rose Hulman started off their scoring in the 8th minute and never looked back. Principia did well with possession but struggled throughout the game to mount a consistent attack. At halftime the Panthers were down 3-0.
Â
The second half, amidst loads of substitutions for the Engineers, they were able to put away four more goals against keeper,
Libby Lewis. Towards the end of the game Principia was able to find a way to get the ball in the back of the net for their lone goal. A foul committed one of Madi Aren's daring runs led to a free kick by center back
Emelie Fredrikson. A melee in the box led to Principia's goal by
Annika Friborg.
Â
They said it:
-"Working on a new defensive style means there will be some growing pains. There was a lot of good tonight and now we're just going to go get after it. We're going to get better at what we do well and continue to push to do better at what we're not as good at."
