Columbia, MO. – The Women's Basketball team traveled to Columbia, Missouri to face off against NAIA opponent Stephens College. The first quarter was a tough one for the Panthers as Stephens scored 25 points while Principia was only able to put 8 points on the board The Panthers went into halftime down 13-42. The Panthers' shots did not drop the entire evening, shooting only 18% for the game. To the credit of Stephens, they played tough defense double teaming our top scorers,
Nikki Matters and
Sophia Hathaway.
Good to Know:
Nikki Matters was high scorer with 9 points and
Sophia Hathaway led the Panthers in rebounds with 7. Principia did cut down their turnovers with only 11 for the game.

"Stephens College did an excellent job defending us and unfortunately we allowed them to drive by us. We continue to stress tough defense and better fitness will help us achieve our defensive goals. The players did work harder and played smarter the second half."
