Game 1 -Â Principia loses 14-0
The Panthers got off to a slow start, giving up five runs in the first inning. Saint Katherine offense was hitting the ball in the gaps, making it difficult for the Panther defense to make plays. Mental and physical errors seemed to get the best of the team again, and the game got away early.
The Principia offense did not come out ready to attack today, producing only three hits total in game one.
Leah Schaefer had two of the team's three hits and
Genie Nyiramana had the other. With four people left on base, the Panthers were unable to bring any runs across the plate.

Game 2 -Â Principia loses 12-0
The Panthers came out with more determination and focus for game two. The defense held the Saint Katherine offense to zero runs in the first inning.
Leah Schaefer was on the rubber, working the zone and drawing ground balls and fly outs. However, the Saint Katherine offense continued to hit the ball in the gaps, scoring five runs in the second inning. The Panther defense found it difficult to get the outs they needed to keep the game within reach.
Offensively, Principia was only able to produce three hits for game two.
Hannah Hathaway,
Lauren Daugherty, and
Sabrina Netherwood each had a single. Unfortunately, with only three runners that got on base, the Panthers were not able to bring anyone across the plate.
The Panthers are eager to return home and iron out some kinks before their next double-header against Westminster on Saturday.
