Elsah, ILL.  - With perfect weather conditions, the Principia Panthers and the Lyon Scots women's soccer teams took to the field for a non-conference matchup in Elsah.
The first half proved to be fairly uneventful but due to a very early goal by Lyon, Principia found themselves battling from behind the entire half.

Within 15 minutes of the second half,
Hannah Sipe earned a free kick just past the center line.
Annika Friborg placed a beautiful chip into the box for
Sarai Marcano who got the ball in the back of the net tying the score up to an even 1-1. Principia had new life but due to a series of unfortunate events (including a PK), Principia conceded four more goals putting the final tally at 1-5 in favor of the Scots.

Hannah Hathaway, starting her first game in goal, had several big saves giving Principia extra boosts of life.
