Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Women's Basketball falls short against Webster University

Elsah, ILL.  – The Women's Basketball team hosted Webster University and had a tough time handling their full court pressure.  Principia stayed with Webster the first quarter but wore down in the second half allowing Webster to score 30 points in the third quarter.  Webster scored 52 points off of turnovers.  Principia did a much better job rebounding this game and shot 34% from the field. All players contributed and as always, they left it all on the court.

Good to Know:
Nikki Matters had 14 points and Sophia Hathaway scored 12.  Sabrina Netherwood had 9 points and led the team in rebounding with 8.  She also went to the floor several times for loose balls, playing great defense for the Panthers.  Anna Webster led the team in assists with 5.

They said it:
"The team knew this would be a tough game as Webster plays full court man to man almost the entire game. I was proud of the players in never giving up and doing some good things that don't show up in the scorebook."
