Elsah, ILL. – The Women's Basketball team hosted Eureka College and got beat in the 2
nd quarter when Eureka outscored them 28-9. The Panthers played even in the other quarters but had too many turnovers. The Panthers could not seem to buy a basket in the first half and ended up shooting 25% overall for the game while Eureka shot 37%. Principia shot 66% from the free throw line, having 24 opportunities to Eureka's 9 times at the line. Principia was 0 for 5 from the 3 pt. line.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway and
Nikki Matters each had 15 points and
Sabrina Netherwood had 8. Sophia once again led in rebounds with 13 and 2 blocked shots.

"The team played well in 3 of the 4 quarters but let the game get away in the 2
nd quarter. While our shots weren't dropping, Eureka couldn't seem to miss and scored 22 points off our turnovers. "
