Sr. Louis, MO – Men's Tennis got a second crack at Wash U on Saturday. Although the 9-0 final score didn't change, most matches were more competitive.
A look at the matches:
The Panthers got at least a game on each doubles court. Daniel Gomez and Wyatt Dale made it closer this time as they took an 8-4 loss. In singles, Dale fought to force a third set and needed one more break, but came up just short, 6-0, 6-4. Juan Segovia was competitive in a 6-1, 6-3 loss at #3, as well as Drew Funke at #4, 6-0, 6-3.
Good to know:
With the exception of Wash U rearranging their #1 and #3 doubles teams, the Panthers faced the same players at each spot as last Friday. Overall, it is encouraging that individual match scores mostly improved from last week.
Up next: The Panthers play Lewis and Clark Community College at home on Tuesday at 4 pm.
