ELSAH, IL - Principia Men's Tennis hosted the Hendrix College Warriors for their season opener on Saturday afternoon and lost a competitive 6-3 decision.

William Johnson jumped up to #1 doubles with
Daniel Gomez, but after battling to reach a tiebreak they couldn't finish off the Warriors.

Segovia got the first singles win at #2 in straight sets to even the overall match at 2-2. Gomez fell short in a comeback effort at #1, losing a heartbreaker in a third-set tiebreak. Johnson picked up the only other Panther win at #4 singles.
Freshman
Everett Poznick made his collegiate debut playing #6 singles. It didn't show up in the box score, but freshman
Japhet Hoff got the Panthers another win in his exhibition match at #7 singles.
Rafter Sprague and
Elliott Matthiesen put good points together at #3 and #5 singles despite coming up empty handed in the win column.
