The Panthers won at least one game on all three doubles courts.
Daniel Gomez and
Juan Segovia got an early break on court #1 to go up 2-0, but immediately gave it back and couldn't recapture the momentum, eventually falling 8-5.
Segovia played a big hitter at #2 singles and tried to wear him down, but his opponent's shot-making was very strong.
William Johnson played well at #4 and got a couple games by coming in and creating chances at the net.
Elliott Matthiesen played competitive points on court #5 and got a couple games as well with good feel for his slice.
Gomez was gunning for his first career win against Wash U and finally got it with a solid 6-2, 6-3 win. He smacked big forehands with a steady backhand to move his opponent all over the court. His win gets the Panthers on the scoreboard against Wash U for the first time in over ten years!
