Laura Mayo, who was named SLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of September 18-24!
Mayo was the first SLIAC woman to finish at the first annual Gorlok-Griffin Invitational this past Saturday in St. Louis. She finished the 5K course 8th overall in a time of 25:02 ahead of all runners from conference foes Webster, Fontbonne, and Westminster. A two-time All-Conference cross country runner, this is Mayo's first ever Runner of the Week award.
The Cross Country team's next meet comes on Friday morning at the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, MO.
