CLAYTON, MO – The Principia men's basketball team was unable to end their losing streak on Tuesday evening as they lost their first SLIAC contest 86-63 to the Fontbonne Griffins.
In the team's final game in the Fontbonne University gym, the Panthers couldn't find their rhythm as they struggled to put any offensive runs together all night.
Eaton Smith finished with a team-high 12 points on 6-9 shooting while also grabbing 7 rebounds. Seven Panthers would score 6 or more points in the game, but Fontbonne was able to hold Principia in check and earn their first win of the season.
After the Thanksgiving break, the Panthers will host Spalding University in their next conference tilt on Thursday, December 5th at 7:30 pm.
