Eureka, ILL. -- Principia College Lady Panthers traveled to Eureka today to play the Eureka College Red Devils. From the start, both teams played down with 9 players but that didn't stop the Lady Panthers groove. In the first 10 minutes of the game Principia had 3 goals: 2 from
Clarice Bruch and 1 from
Chrissy Fredrikson. The Lady Panthers continued to switch the point of attack and attacking the baseline as some beautiful crosses were made inside the box. This lead to 3 more goals.
Alex Weitman had a great finish from a baseline cross from
Madison Arens.
Yana Wood and
Christina Redington had their first collegiate goals as they fought hard to win it in the box. Overall, the Lady Panthers played well-rounded soccer as they defeated The Red Devils, 6-0.
Outstanding performances from
Maddie Wann and
Brittany Ouellette as they controlled the midfield the whole game.
