ELSAH, IL- Tuesday night under the lights, Principia hosted Millikin for a women's soccer game. While the Big Blue subbed constantly throughout the game, Principia stuck to the same 11 - demonstrating a great amount of fitness and heart.
At halftime, Principia was down 0-1 but had created opportunities and
Hannah Hathaway had made some key saves. The game definitely felt within reach.
The second half though was a slightly different story with Millikin finding the back of the net three times. Principia continued to fight and almost scored in the final minute of play but it wasn't enough. Millikin won 4-0.
Key players:
Edner Oloo caused a lot of disruption up top, Madi Arens was a workhorse in the middle,
Tara Adhikari and
Kiona Sperr were fearless in the back line and Hathaway was a wall posting 15 saves on the night.
Up next: Principia women's soccer travels to Richmond, Indiana to take on Earlham College.
