Elsah, ILL. – The Women's Basketball team hosted Eureka College and played a game they hope to soon forget. Eureka is the top scoring team in the SLIAC Conference, but Principia couldn't score tonight, which made it worse. The Panthers shot 15% from the field and was only 2 for 9 from the free throw. Held scoreless in the third quarter, the Panthers just didn't play their game.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway led with 9 points and
Georgia Rather scored 5. Sophia was leader on the boards with 9 rebounds and had 3 blocked shots.
Maddie Wann played in her first game of the season, but the Panthers still did not have
Nikki Matters, starting point guard.
They said it:
"This was a game you want to quickly forget. The players had a record number of turnovers and could not score. You have to credit Eureka College for their good defense. The players have their break for finals and we will be ready to play next Saturday against Blackburn. "
