Elsah, IL – The Women's Basketball team hosted Greenville University in this evenings match-up. The Greenville Panthers were SLIAC champion last year and always brings a deep bench to each game. In the first quarter Greenville pressed the Principia Panthers and led 19-12. Principia struggled the 2
nd quarter only scoring 5 points and Greenville led at halftime by a score of 42-17. Principia point guard
Nikki Matters played for the first time in a couple games, making 7 players available for the Panthers. Greenville played 13 players, which eventually affected Principia's smaller squad. Greenville out rebounded Principia 49-29. The game ended with Greenville winning, 77-33.
Good to Know:
Nikki Matters led in scoring with 20 points and
Sophia Hathaway scored 10. Sophia was top rebounder with 8 boards and 2 blocked shots.

"The team played well in spots, but still gave up too many 3 point shots. Greenville was 8 for 27 from the 3 pt. line. I felt the team played well together and played with a lot of heart."
