Eureka, IL. – The Panthers traveled to Eureka, Illinois to compete in another conference game, this time against the Red Devils. The game started off well with the Panthers staying close to Eureka during the first half, they were only down by 12. Unfortunately, the 3
rd quarter changed when point guard
Nikki Matters went down with an injury and had to leave the game. But, as always, the players hung together and supported each other on the court. The game ended with the Panthers having 46 rebounds to 49 for Eureka. Turnovers were a problem in the second half.
Christina Redington and
Sophia Hathaway shared time as point guard.
Madi Leslie made two 3-point shots.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway was the high scorer for the Panthers with 18 points and
Madi Leslie had 11.
Sophia Hathaway had 12 rebounds and
Beka Petersen had 9, with 7 of them being offensive.
They said it:
"This team continues to be challenged but stays together because they are a family. They all step up and help out where they are needed and are so supportive of those teammates with challenges."
