Elsah, IL. – The Women's Basketball team hosted SLIAC opponent, Webster University. Webster plays tenacious defense and led 23-10 after the first quarter. The turnovers by the Panthers in the second quarter gave Webster a 52-15 lead at halftime. The Panthers never gave up and ended up scoring 18 in the 3
rd quarter and played even with the Gorloks in the 4
th, each scoring 12. The Gorloks spread their scoring among 8 players while the Panthers relied on scoring from 5. For the first time Principia tied their opponents in offensive rebounds with 11 each. Webster had 43 total rebounds while Principia had 41.
Good to Know:
Sophia Hathaway led in scoring with 20 points and 10 rebounds for a double double. She also had 6 blocked shots.
Beka Petersen led the team in rebounds with 11 and
Georgia Rather had 7.
Nikki Matters had 11 total points.
