Fulton, MO – Men's Tennis continued conference play with a 9-0 sweep of Westminster College on Tuesday afternoon.
A look at the matches:
The Panthers took care of business with a doubles sweep, only giving up two games between all three matches. Wyatt Dale got the team's only shutout of the day, following his and Daniel Gomez' 8-0 doubles win with 6-0, 6-0 victory at #2 singles. Juan Segovia got the clinch at #3, winning 6-2, 6-0, followed by Drew Funke at #4, 6-0, 6-1. SLIAC Player of the Week Rafter Sprague played one of the more competitive matches at #5 but still walked away with a 6-0, 6-3 win. Gomez sailed along 6-1, 6-1, while William Johnson wrapped things up at #6 with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
Good to know:
The team takes another step towards wrapping up the #1 seed in the SLIAC tournament, now only needing a win over Webster on Thursday.
