Greenville, IL. - The Principia Volleyball team continued to make tangible improvements in its skill and team play during their match with Greenville College tonight.
Principia played two strong sets staying close to Greenville but eventually losing 25-19, 25-18. Greenville's offense and serves in the third set were too much for our team as Prin lost 25-9 in the last set.
Overall, the team was more active defensively, finding themselves correctly to make digs and keep points alive. So far, their best defensive effort was led by
Lindsey Huffman and
Alana Hinson, with solid efforts from
Angie Whitmore and
Neha Bandrapalli. Bandrapalli also set a strong match as Principia posted its highest number of kills in a game this season. The hitting was led by Hinson,
Madi Leslie, and
Paige Fowler, who continue to grow in confidence with each set.
Up Next: On Friday, September 24th, the Panthers will return to Eureka to play the Red Devils and get their first look at Spaulding University. The matches are at 5:30 and 7:30. Go Panthers!
